Ow

Well as we aren't moving just yet, we decided to go into London yesterday to have a look around the museums. I managed to miss one of the steps on the way out of the British Museum and twisted my ankle. It's a bit swollen today and I can't walk properly but it's not too bad really.

I have therefore decided that culture isn't good for you, although it did give me the chance to see a certain exhibit of an Egyptian arm and fist I have a photograph of from a school trip about 18 years ago... someone helpfully modelled the scale for me too. I wonder where that photo is now...

We're off to see Wallace and Gromit this evening so that should be good, then we only have 2 more days left of our little holiday. In spite of the stresses and injury it's been very enjoyable not being at work. Hopefully we'll be moving in our next break too so that's something to look forward to. We've had a load of boxes and packing materials delivered today so we can get cracking on more of the packing (good rhyme there).

With my inability to walk properly at the moment I don't expect we'll be doing much else today really. We really need to tidy the house up but it's difficult to do that really when the best movement you can manage is hobbling.

18 years does make me feel rather old. The hobble also has this effect.

The ankle isn't too bad though, it's gone down loads over the last couple of days. The only thing I'm struggling with is walking down stairs. I'm sure I'll be all better by the time I have to go back to work on Friday. Dammit.
